Tourism Minister Patricia de Lille has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between her department and Airbnb to support the continued recovery of the tourism sector and build inclusive tourism in South Africa.

She said it was the hardship experienced by communities and farmers during the COVID-19 pandemic that inspired the app.

The decision to bet on herself paid off when she established her company, Shavhi's Closet. Her garments are now available on Zando, one of South Africa’s biggest online fashion retailers. She has five people working for her.
