In the heart of Mbalenhle, Mpumalanga, Nelisiwe Dladla has emerged as a beacon of entrepreneurial success with her venture, Siyakunelisa Cleaning Service.
Founded in 2022, the company specialises in services such as deep cleaning, carpet and upholstery care, window cleaning, and office maintenance. Siyakunelisa has quickly carved out a place for itself in the competitive market.
“With the difficulties of being unemployed, I sat down and thought about a way I could make a stable income. I then came up with this idea of starting my own business.” The company currently employs two people.
"Though there are many companies offering the same cleaning services as I do, I believe mine is unique. I ensure my clients receive the best services they require."
Dladla attributes her success not only to hard work, but also to the unwavering support she received from the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA).
“With the help of the NYDA funding, I was able to buy equipment.
“This made things a lot easier for me, it brought faith and hope to my business. I can now say my business is growing” she beamed.
Dladla’s long-term goal is to collaborate with big companies by delivering industrial cleaning services. She also plans to create more job opportunities for her community.
"To those facing unemployment; never give up. Start something of your own. Do not wait for employment but employ yourself. Stay the course until you make it. It is not easy but keep moving," Dladla advised. ¥
